This artwork by Larry Poons achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Bedew sold for USD 69,300.00 (€ 59,500.30) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Poons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jessica's Hartford in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,150,000.00 (€ 1,043,651.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Larry Poons erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Bedew für USD 69.300,00 (€ 59.500,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Poons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jessica's Hartford im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.150.000,00 (€ 1.043.651,87).
