The work Dangerous B by Larry Poons was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in March this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 120,650.00 (€ 110,973.14), 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Larry Poons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jessica's Hartford in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,150,000.00 (€ 1,043,651.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dangerous B von Larry Poons wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 120.650,00 (€ 110.973,14) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Larry Poons auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jessica's Hartford im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.150.000,00 (€ 1.043.651,87).
