Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Julia Dault could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Untitled 21, 1:37 - 4:33 Pm, January 5, And 09:17 - 11:27 Am, January 6, 2016, Installed By Simon Bird changed hands for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,994.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julia Dault - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled 17, 11:00 Am - 4:00 Pm, January 20, 2011, which sold at auction in June 2015 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,172.14).
