The work L.A. Confidential L.A. by Julia Dault was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,071.09), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 37%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julia Dault - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled 17, 11:00 Am - 4:00 Pm, January 20, 2011, which sold at auction in June 2015 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,172.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit L.A. Confidential L.A. von Julia Dault wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.071,09) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 37%. Für andere Arbeiten von Julia Dault mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled 17, 11:00 Am - 4:00 Pm, January 20, 2011 beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.172,14) versteigert wurde.
