The work Mr. Softy by Joyce Pensato was auctioned at Christies in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 151,200.00 (€ 140,900.20), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joyce Pensato; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sunset Batman sold at auction in December 2020 with the realized price of HKD 2,250,000.00 (€ 237,326.25).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 140.900,20) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Joyce Pensato; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sunset Batman im Dezember 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 2.250.000,00 (€ 237.326,25).
