It achieved a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,526.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joseph Raffael; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lily Shadow and Reflection sold at auction in July 2016 with the realized price of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,101.00).
