This artwork by Joseph Raffael achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2016. In the Living With Art auction, the work Spring Amazement sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,789.04) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joseph Raffael; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lily Shadow and Reflection sold at auction in July 2016 with the realized price of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,101.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Raffael erzielte im Juli 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Living With Art wurde die Arbeit Spring Amazement für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.789,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Joseph Raffael; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Lily Shadow and Reflection im Juli 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.101,00).
