Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cobwebs (Fletcher 95) by John Taylor Arms was sold in the Prints auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2012. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,724.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Taylor Arms - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Various Subjects, which sold at auction in April 2000 for USD 11,162.50 (€ 12,281.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cobwebs (Fletcher 95) von John Taylor Arms wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Prints bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.724,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von John Taylor Arms mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Various Subjects beobachtet, die im April 2000 für USD 11.162,50 (€ 12.281,33) versteigert wurde.
