Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work The Balcony (Venetian Gateway), From Italian Series by John Taylor Arms for USD 1,147.00 (€ 968.10). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & MultiplesFeaturing the Arthur N. Gilbert Collection at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Taylor Arms achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Various Subjects in April 2000 with an auction result of USD 11,162.50 (€ 12,281.33).
