Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Various Views Of France, From French Church Series by John Taylor Arms was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 892.00 (€ 752.87). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Taylor Arms achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Various Subjects in April 2000 with an auction result of USD 11,162.50 (€ 12,281.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Various Views Of France, From French Church Series von John Taylor Arms im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 892,00 (€ 752,87) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Taylor Arms erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Various Subjects im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.162,50 (€ 12.281,33).
