Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October last year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Not Wanting to Say Anything About Marcel: Plexigram II by John Cage. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,805.11). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Cage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The First Meeting of the Satie Society in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 116,500.00 (€ 82,140.59).
