Upper estimate price exceeded by 52 %.
The work 11 Stones by John Cage was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in June this year. It achieved a price of GBP 3,048.00 (€ 3,547.35), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Cage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The First Meeting of the Satie Society in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 116,500.00 (€ 82,140.59).
