Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wild Edible Drawings by John Cage was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year. The price achieved of USD 63,000.00 (€ 64,397.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Other works by John Cage have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2011 the work The First Meeting of the Satie Society was auctioned for USD 116,500.00 (€ 82,140.59).
