Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Tilting Yellow by Jake Berthot. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,848.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jake Berthot have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2007 the work Green Pole Squared was auctioned for USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,512.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tilting Yellow von Jake Berthot zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.848,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Jake Berthot konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2007 die Arbeit Green Pole Squared für USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.512,47) versteigert.
