Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Old Mohonk" by Jake Berthot was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in September this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 32,000.00 (€ 2,775.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jake Berthot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Green Pole Squared in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,512.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit "Old Mohonk" von Jake Berthot kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 32.000,00 (€ 2.775,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jake Berthot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Green Pole Squared im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.512,47).
