Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jake Berthot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March 2008. In the Under the Influence auction, the work Palm sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 10,281.56) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jake Berthot; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Green Pole Squared sold at auction in February 2007 with the realized price of USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,512.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jake Berthot erzielte im März 2008 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Under the Influence wurde die Arbeit Palm für USD 16.250,00 (€ 10.281,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jake Berthot; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Green Pole Squared im Februar 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.512,47).
