Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jake Berthot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in July last year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Round sold for USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,498.53) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jake Berthot; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Green Pole Squared sold at auction in February 2007 with the realized price of USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,512.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jake Berthot erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Round für USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.498,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jake Berthot; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Green Pole Squared im Februar 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.512,47).
