Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Untitled (after Number 22, 1951) (O'C. & T. 1095) by Jackson Pollock. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 50,800.00 (€ 46,014.49). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jackson Pollock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Number 17, 1951 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 61,161,000.00 (€ 54,187,117.92).
