Inscribed 'Love me + Lee - we are going to miss that xmas dinner!' in black ink at the interior of the card, with initials and date and address '46 E 8th' in the screen of the front image, printed by the artist, framed.

Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jackson Pollock achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October this year. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Greeting Card (O'C. & T. 1088) sold for USD 13,970.00 (€ 13,219.15) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jackson Pollock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Number 17, 1951 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 61,161,000.00 (€ 54,187,117.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jackson Pollock erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Greeting Card (O'C. & T. 1088) für USD 13.970,00 (€ 13.219,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jackson Pollock erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Number 17, 1951 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.161.000,00 (€ 54.187.117,92).
