Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Huma Bhabha could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 508.00 (€ 480.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huma Bhabha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 178,126.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huma Bhabha konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 508,00 (€ 480,70) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huma Bhabha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 178.126,11).
