This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hugo McCloud; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot To Be Titled, 2014 sold at auction in September 2021 with the realized price of USD 75,312.50 (€ 65,053.55).
