Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work dividere by Hugo McCloud was worth GBP 48,750.00 (€ 57,616.79) to a buyer in December 2019. This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hugo McCloud; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot To Be Titled, 2014 sold at auction in September 2021 with the realized price of USD 75,312.50 (€ 65,053.55).
