This artwork by Hugo McCloud achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March this year. In the New Now auction, the work lost in a moment sold for USD 53,340.00 (€ 49,061.81) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hugo McCloud; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot To Be Titled, 2014 sold at auction in September 2021 with the realized price of USD 75,312.50 (€ 65,053.55).
