The work to the sky I looked for the path to follow - sequence by Hugo McCloud was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 30,240.00 (€ 35,229.27), 68% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hugo McCloud; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot To Be Titled, 2014 sold at auction in September 2021 with the realized price of USD 75,312.50 (€ 65,053.55).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 30.240,00 (€ 35.229,27) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hugo McCloud; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit To Be Titled, 2014 im September 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 75.312,50 (€ 65.053,55).
