Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Still Life Painting #3 by Hugo McCloud. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,668.54). Admittedly, works by Hugo McCloud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work To Be Titled, 2014 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 75,312.50 (€ 65,053.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Painting #3 von Hugo McCloud zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.668,54) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hugo McCloud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit To Be Titled, 2014 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.312,50 (€ 65.053,55).
