Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cover Story by Hugo McCloud was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,838.80). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugo McCloud - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work To Be Titled, 2014, which sold at auction in September 2021 for USD 75,312.50 (€ 65,053.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cover Story von Hugo McCloud kam im Mai 2016 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.838,80) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hugo McCloud mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit To Be Titled, 2014 beobachtet, die im September 2021 für USD 75.312,50 (€ 65.053,55) versteigert wurde.
