Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Goddess Of Dubai by Halim Al-Karim was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,342.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Halim Al-Karim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (From The Urban Witness Series), which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 36,072.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Goddess Of Dubai von Halim Al-Karim kam im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.342,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Halim Al-Karim mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (From The Urban Witness Series) beobachtet, die im April 2013 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 36.072,30) versteigert wurde.
