Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Halim Al-Karim could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Hidden Doll changed hands for GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,219.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Halim Al-Karim have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (From The Urban Witness Series) in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 36,072.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Halim Al-Karim konnte im November 2020 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Hidden Doll für GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.219,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Halim Al-Karim auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (From The Urban Witness Series) im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 36.072,30).
