The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 16,055.59), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guido Reni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work David With The Head Of Goliath in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,177,250.00 (€ 4,046,962.53).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 16.055,59) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guido Reni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit David With The Head Of Goliath im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.177.250,00 (€ 4.046.962,53).
