Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Guido Reni achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January last year. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper auction, the work Study for the Head of the Virgin sold for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,618.98) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guido Reni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work David With The Head Of Goliath in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,177,250.00 (€ 4,046,962.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guido Reni erzielte im Januar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Study for the Head of the Virgin für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.618,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guido Reni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit David With The Head Of Goliath im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.177.250,00 (€ 4.046.962,53).
