Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Martyrdom of Saint Apollonia by Guido Reni was sold in the Old Masters | New Perspectives: Masterworks from The Alana Collection auction at Christies in New York in June last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 819,000.00 (€ 782,309.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Guido Reni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work David With The Head Of Goliath in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,177,250.00 (€ 4,046,962.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Martyrdom of Saint Apollonia von Guido Reni wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Masters | New Perspectives: Masterworks from The Alana Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 782.309,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
