A top price for Guido Reni - as previously expected
In July 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work David With The Head Of Goliath by Guido Reni. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,177,250.00 (€ 4,046,962.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, David With The Head Of Goliath is the most expensive artwork by Guido Reni that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juli 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit David With The Head Of Goliath von Guido Reni zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000.000,00 – 5.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.177.250,00 (€ 4.046.962,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
