The work Countess Nerona #3 by Gertrude Abercrombie was sold in the Modern Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 81,900.00 (€ 76,320.94), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gertrude Abercrombie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Giraffe, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 365,400.00 (€ 299,655.57).

Die Arbeit Countess Nerona #3 von Gertrude Abercrombie wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 76.320,94) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Für andere Arbeiten von Gertrude Abercrombie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Giraffe beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 365.400,00 (€ 299.655,57) versteigert wurde.
