In the American Art auction, the work Owl About to Climb a Ladder sold for USD 22,812.50 (€ 19,093.15) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gertrude Abercrombie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Giraffe in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 365,400.00 (€ 299,655.57).
