In the American Art auction, the work Owl About to Climb a Ladder sold for USD 22,812.50 (€ 19,093.15) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gertrude Abercrombie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Giraffe in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 365,400.00 (€ 299,655.57).

In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Owl About to Climb a Ladder für USD 22.812,50 (€ 19.093,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gertrude Abercrombie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Giraffe im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.400,00 (€ 299.655,57).
