Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frank Bowling achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June this year. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work As If Eleven, from Tate Modern 21 Years Print Portfolio sold for GBP 4,826.00 (€ 5,616.63) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Bowling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beggar No. 3 in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 695,250.00 (€ 781,564.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Bowling erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wurde die Arbeit As If Eleven, from Tate Modern 21 Years Print Portfolio für GBP 4.826,00 (€ 5.616,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Bowling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beggar No. 3 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 695.250,00 (€ 781.564,11).
