Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Snow Painting by Frank Bowling was auctioned at Christies in New York in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 40,511.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Bowling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beggar No. 3 in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 695,250.00 (€ 781,564.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Snow Painting von Frank Bowling kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 40.511,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Bowling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beggar No. 3 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 695.250,00 (€ 781.564,11).
