Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Eva Gonzalès achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2009. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work En Bateau sold for GBP 241,250.00 (€ 283,098.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eva Gonzalès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Au bord de la mer (Honfleur) in November last year with an auction result of USD 2,700,000.00 (€ 2,615,518.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eva Gonzalès erzielte im Juni 2009 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit En Bateau für GBP 241.250,00 (€ 283.098,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eva Gonzalès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Au bord de la mer (Honfleur) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.700.000,00 (€ 2.615.518,74).
