Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait by Eva Gonzalès was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2018. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,326.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eva Gonzalès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Au bord de la mer (Honfleur) in November last year with an auction result of USD 2,700,000.00 (€ 2,615,518.74).

Die Arbeit Portrait von Eva Gonzalès kam im November 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.326,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eva Gonzalès erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Au bord de la mer (Honfleur) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.700.000,00 (€ 2.615.518,74).
