Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La lecture au jardin (Femme au chapeau rouge) by Eva Gonzalès was sold in the Impressionist/Modern Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in February 2015. The price achieved of GBP 482,500.00 (€ 665,295.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eva Gonzalès - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Au bord de la mer (Honfleur), which sold at auction in November last year for USD 2,700,000.00 (€ 2,615,518.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La lecture au jardin (Femme au chapeau rouge) von Eva Gonzalès wurde im Februar 2015 in der Auktion Impressionist/Modern Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 482.500,00 (€ 665.295,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Eva Gonzalès mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Au bord de la mer (Honfleur) beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 2.700.000,00 (€ 2.615.518,74) versteigert wurde.
