In February 2017 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Portrait de Jeanne Gonzalès by Eva Gonzalès. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 137,000.00 (€ 160,340.84), 71% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eva Gonzalès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Au bord de la mer (Honfleur) in November last year with an auction result of USD 2,700,000.00 (€ 2,615,518.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait de Jeanne Gonzalès von Eva Gonzalès zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 137.000,00 (€ 160.340,84) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eva Gonzalès erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Au bord de la mer (Honfleur) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.700.000,00 (€ 2.615.518,74).
