Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Roses Dans Un Verre by Eva Gonzalès. The »bidding war« ended at USD 615,000.00 (€ 526,992.29), 23% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Eva Gonzalès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Au bord de la mer (Honfleur) in November last year with an auction result of USD 2,700,000.00 (€ 2,615,518.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roses Dans Un Verre von Eva Gonzalès zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 615.000,00 (€ 526.992,29) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eva Gonzalès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Au bord de la mer (Honfleur) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.700.000,00 (€ 2.615.518,74).
