Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Study/Falling Man (Figure Combinations) by Ernest Trova. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,435.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ernest Trova have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,091.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Figure Combinations) von Ernest Trova zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.435,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Trova auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.091,18).
