Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study/Falling Man (Standing Figure #2), 1986 by Ernest Trova was sold in the Contemporary Art Online auction at Sothebys in Online in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 24,000.00 (€ 19,480.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernest Trova - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man), which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,091.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Standing Figure #2), 1986 von Ernest Trova wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in Online versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 24.000,00 (€ 19.480,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernest Trova mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.091,18) versteigert wurde.
