The work Study/Falling Man (Seated Figure I), 1986 by Ernest Trova was sold in the Contemporary Art Online: NYC auction at Sothebys in New York in July 2018. The result of USD 7,000.00 (€ 5,979.84) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ernest Trova have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,091.18).

Die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Seated Figure I), 1986 von Ernest Trova wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online: NYC bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 7.000,00 (€ 5.979,84) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Trova auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.091,18).
