Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study/Falling Man (Awf #3), 1986 by Ernest Trova was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,474.80) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ernest Trova have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,091.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Awf #3), 1986 von Ernest Trova kam im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.474,80) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Trova auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.091,18).
