Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2018 Sothebys in Online held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Study/Falling Man (Figure In Sphere), 1986 by Ernest Trova. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,500.00 (€ 7,711.04), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ernest Trova have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,091.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in Online die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Figure In Sphere), 1986 von Ernest Trova zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.500,00 (€ 7.711,04) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Trova auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.091,18).
