In March 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work Figure Study (“Trovian Man”) by Ernest Trova. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,666.88), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ernest Trova have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,091.18).

Im März 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure Study (“Trovian Man”) von Ernest Trova zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.666,88) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Trova auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.091,18).
