Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Camisas Blancas by Doris Salcedo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2008. The price achieved of USD 92,500.00 (€ 72,869.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Doris Salcedo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 665,000.00 (€ 629,615.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Camisas Blancas von Doris Salcedo kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 72.869,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Doris Salcedo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 665.000,00 (€ 629.615,60).
