Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Jenny (From The Series "Friends On Flokati") by Delia Brown for USD 750.00 (€ 701.07). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Delia Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blonde Self-Portrait in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 78,000.00 (€ 57,979.63).
