Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (Standing On Patio With Robe) by Delia Brown was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,274.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Delia Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blonde Self-Portrait in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 78,000.00 (€ 57,979.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (Standing On Patio With Robe) von Delia Brown im September 2007 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.274,63) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Delia Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blonde Self-Portrait im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 78.000,00 (€ 57.979,63).
